Africa: A Visual Journey

November 15th, 2007

Travel photographer Holly Horner will be sharing her stories and amazing images of Africa, captured during a recent 2 month photo safari with her husband Bill. Holly's eye for details and creative composition are sure to make this a memorable presentation.
The event will be at the Noyes Museum from 7-9:30pm. Light refreshments will be provided.The $10 cover charge will be donated to the Visualize Photography Foundation's Scholarship Fund.

EXCLUSIVE CHAMPAGNE RECEPTION KICKS OFF ART AND CRAFT CONCEPTS
Annual Exhibition and Sale Showcases the Finest Artists from Across the Country


OCEANVILLE, N.J. – An exclusive champagne reception featuring decadent desserts from four of the region’s top restaurants will kick off this year’s Art & Craft Concepts on Wednesday, August 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Noyes Museum of Art in Oceanville, N.J. The reception gives attendees a sneak preview and a chance to purchase pieces before they go on sale to the general public. Opening reception tickets cost $35 per person or $25 for Noyes Museum members. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling (609) 652-8848 or at the door. Featured restaurants include Gourmet Italian in Galloway, N.J., Steve and Cookies by the Bay in Margate, N.J., Seaview Marriott Resort & Spa in Absecon, N.J. and Rams’s Head Inn also in Absecon, N.J.

Now in its 10th year Art & Craft Concepts, southern New Jersey’s exclusive museum-quality exhibition and sale, presents extraordinary craftsmanship in jewelry, painting, ceramics, glass, fiber, mixed media and wood hand-crafted by 50 artists from across the country. The exhibition opens to the public on Thursday, August 16 and continues through Sunday, August 26, 2007. Hours are Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon to 5 p.m. General admission of $4 for adults and $3 for seniors/students also includes admission to the Noyes Museum’s exhibitions.

Panel Discussion: What Are Photography Judges Looking For?
Anyone who has ever entered a photo competition has probably asked themselves more than once, 'What were those judges thinking?'.

Professional photographers and frequent judges Alex Anton, Donna Connor, Bill Horin and Vernon Ogrodnek will lead a panel that attempts to answer that question and many others. This event is sponsored by the Stay Focused Camera Club of Atlantic County and will be held from 7-9:30pm at the Noyes Museum of Art. It is free and open to the public.

An Art Exhibition by Breast Cancer Survivors

Introduction
AtlantiCare Women’s Health & Wellness/ AtlantiCare
is seeking a variety of artwork to exhibit as part of their
annual Breast Health Signature Event to be held on October
18, 2007. AtlantiCare Women’s Health & Wellness
is seeking breast cancer survivor artists and/or family
members who have been touched by the disease who
reside in the State of New Jersey, who may be interested
in providing inspirational, healing and refreshing images
in a variety of mediums. Artwork will be exhibited at the
Breast Health Signature Event in a created gallery space
at the Sheraton Atlantic City.
