KIM WEILAND WATERCOLOR WORKSHOPS

• Indoors workshop:
• COST: $75 total per day. .

DECSCRIPTION: This is a Full day workshop dealing with all concepts of perfecting your watercolor skills. The workshop will begin with a basic review of watercolor technique and we will advance through a process of demonstration with individual guidance and critique. My focus will be based on guiding the student to achieve a better understanding of concepts and techniques used to understand and to depict beach, marsh, ocean and sky as observed in the local area.

Students are asked to bring their own photos. Please bring your own supplies.

SUPPLY LIST:
• GOOD QUALITY WATERCOLOR PAPER OF 140 WEIGHT OR BETTER IS SUGGESTED,
• ARCHES 140# TO 300#WATERCOLOR PAPER OR A SIMILAR WATERCOLOR BLOCK. LOOSE PAPER SHOULD BE TAPED OR MOUNTED TO A DRAWING BOARD PRIOR TO CLASS. PAPER SIZE IS YOUR CHOICE.
• A SELECTION OF WATERCOLOR BRUSHES: A FLAT WASH BRUSH AND ROUND WATERCOLOR BRUSHES
• PENCILS, ERASER, RULER, AND A SPONGE
• PAPER TOWELS
• MASKING TAPE
• WATERCOLOR PAINTS, TUBES OF PAINT ARE BEST.
• Suggested colors: Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Blue, Cerulean blue, cadmium yellow, Cadmium red, Olive green, Viridian, Raw Siena, Burnt siena, Burnt umber, Yellow ochre and Alizarin crimson are listed here only as a guide.
• MUFFIN TRAY OR A LARGE MIXING PALLET
• BOTTLE OF WATER AND WATER BOWL
• OPTIONAL: MASKING FLUID
